Newport FAN Group

The Newport FAN Group started in August 2009 and now has more than 15 members who attend the group on a regular basis. The group meets every Friday 12noon - 1pm at The SHARE Centre, Stow Hill. Patrick Sullivan, who has been attending the group since September said 'I have personally found the group a real eye opener as I have learned so much about other cultures and countries. After all, where else would you meet a Tibetan Monk, the Green Party Parliamentary Candidate for Newport West and an ex-Probation Officer all in one day!' Kath Jones, who has been attending since the group started said 'I find the group interesting, its somewhere for me to go; otherwise I would just be stuck in the house.
