On Wednesday 20th May our friends at the WEA (Workers Education Association) have a free adults learners' day school being held in the Oakdale Workmen‚ Institute at St Fagan's National History Museum.
They have two visitors from the Mohawk people of the territory of Tyendinaga, Canada providing a lecture at 11am. This will be followed by some taster workshops in the afternoon. All people need to do is get themselves to St Fagans and make their way to the Institute for 10.30am. Ideally they should let Martyn at the WEA know in advance if they are attending. The lecture will cover topics such as the Mohawk approach to the care of the planet and the survival of their native language.
Contact Martyn Reed on 029 2038 2431 or email Martyn.Reed@weacymru.org.uk if you would like more information or to book a free place.
