Women Making a Difference (WMAD) are running a new free course for women at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay. What Is Active Citizens? Active Citizens is an international programme of learning which WMAD delivers in partnership with the British Council. The programme envisages a world where people feel empowered to engage peaceably and effectively with others in the sustainable development of their communities. The course involves: An international learning programme that focuses on inter-cultural dialogue, community engagement, and active citizenship. Collaborating with other Active Citizen participants on the design and delivery of local social action projects...and so much more! So if you want to bring about real change in your community - this is the course for you! When does it take place? The course runs 1 day a week for 6 weeks and you can EITHER take part on a Monday or a Saturday - whatever day is better for you. Both courses run from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
